MoneySense Pro: Local-First Privacy Policy

1. Our Zero-Knowledge Philosophy

Your financial data belongs to you. MoneySense Pro does not sell, rent, or broker your personal financial inputs. Our business model is based on software value, not surveillance or data resale.

2. Local-First Processing

Most calculator operations are executed locally in your browser. Sensitive values such as salary, debt, expenses, and savings remain on your device unless you explicitly choose a sync workflow.

3. API Key and AI Privacy (BYOK)

If you enable AI Insight with your own API key, your key is stored locally in browser storage under your control. We do not store your API key or your full private prompt history on our servers. When AI requests are routed through Cloudflare Workers, data is processed for transit and service execution, not for model training by MoneySense Pro.

4. Data Minimization

We collect only limited account metadata such as email and display name for authentication, license verification, and account support. Payment checkout is handled by Creem and related processors. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

5. Security Controls

We use industry-standard transport security, access control, and operational safeguards to reduce unauthorized access risk. No digital system can guarantee absolute security, but we apply a data-minimization architecture to reduce exposure by design.

6. Third-Party Providers

When you use external providers (such as OpenAI-compatible endpoints, DeepSeek, or Cloudflare AI), their terms and privacy policies also apply. You are responsible for reviewing your provider settings and data policies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction regarding your personal data. For privacy requests, contact us at support@moneysensepro.app.

8. Optional Global Leaderboard

If you opt in to the Global Savings Leaderboard:

What we receive: Your chosen fun nickname, a one-way device hash, your self-reported cumulative savings total, derived tier label, and coarse country code (from CDN headers when available).
What we do not receive by default: Raw calculator inputs (salary, loan balance, etc.) unless you separately save history to a Pro sync account.
Purpose: Display an anonymized ranking to motivate smart financial habits—not advertising profiles.
Retention: Leaderboard rows may be retained while the feature operates; contact support@moneysensepro.app to request removal of your masked entry.
